“As an avid cyclist it was a bittersweet day when I put my shoes in the closet and hung my bike up in storage. When I passed the 4 month milestone in my pregnancy my husband and I agreed no more road cycling as the risk of falling would not be worth endangering our baby on the way. After a couple months of inactivity I needed to be doing something. I was hesitant about a gym and didn’t really like group classes; especially the thought of showing up and being the pregnant lady that required a modified version of a class, so I started looking for a personal trainer. I found a couple local trainers and found Prenatal and Beyond through Google.
At first I was hesitant about a virtual personal trainer, but that quickly changed. It’s awesome to be able to get up in the morning, get my day started and ready for our workouts without even leaving my house. It’s a huge time-saver and super convenient. And Moji is down-to-earth and wonderful to work with. We work out together 2 times a week and I look forward to each session.
We vary the exercises each session and I can see a noticeable difference in my arm strength after only a few weeks. It feels good to be working out and taking steps to prepare me both for childbirth and motherhood. It’s great to have an hour in the morning that’s set aside just for me and once baby is born we’ll take on getting back to my pre-baby body!
